Shuttleworth Collection: Spitfire Photography Experience Day – Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, UK

The Spitfire Photography Day is designed for those already competent with a camera, but it can equally be a fun activity for entry level users of compact cameras.

There are no difficult photographic challenges during the day, rather a range of uniquely arranged opportunities to capture images that you simply won’t find anywhere else. The day is themed around the Shuttleworth Collection’s genuine Supermarine Spitfire Mk V (AR501), and you will spend the entire day getting up close and personal to this historic airframe.

Darren Harbar ensures some fantastic photographic opportunities by managing access, enabling all attendees to obtain a wide range of images, including providing period re-enactors to pose with the aircraft. You need not even have a camera to enjoy this day, as you get up close and personal to the aircraft.

As a highlight of your day, you will get to sit in the cockpit of Shuttleworth’s very own Supermarine Spitfire*.

There’s even a talk by a current Spitfire pilot, and a presentation on this particular aircraft’s fascinating WWII history. The ultimate day for fans of the Supermarine Spitfire, this event is limited to 22 people, ensuring it remains a personal day and allows everyone to get the access they desire.

Book early to avoid disappointment.

* Guests must be within the weight limitations and can access the aircraft unaided.
